1861 Battle of Blue Mills Landing - Shoal Creek Living History town near Liberty MO. (April 2009) - 3 Companies / Turnout = 45 Rifles

St. Joseph MO - Days of Civil War 1863 (April 2009) - 5 Companies / Turnout = 60 Rifles (Portraying the 25th Missouri Vols.) Escort and defense of horse drawn wagon & supply train.

1864 Defense of State Capital - Jefferson City MO. (May 2009) - 2 companies / Turnout = 40 Rifles (Portaraying 45th Missouri Vols.)

1861 Cornstalk fight & 1864 Kingston Raid - Kingston MO. (June 2009) - 3 Companies / Turnout = 40 Rifles (Portraying James Battalion of 6 month militia & 33rd Enrolled Missouri Militia)

1861 Battle of Boonville MO 150th (June 2011) - Portraying 1st Missouri Infantry / 3 Companies & Turnout - (41 Rifles)

1861 Battle of Wilson's Creek MO 150th (August 2011) - Portraying 2nd Kansas Infantry / 6 Companies & Turnout - (135 Rifles)

1861 Battle & Siege of Lexington MO 150th (September 2011) - Portraying 23rd Illinois Infantry / 3 Companies & Turnout - (57 Rifles)

1861 Blair Lane Fight in Holt County MO (October 2011) - Detachment / Turnout - 30 Rifles)


Campaign 2012

1862 Battle of Shiloh TN. 150th - Portraying 25th Missouri Infantry / 7 Companies & turnout of approximately 135 Rifles

Kingston MO - (June 2012) this event portraying the 1861 Cornstalk fight, 1864 Kingston raid & the 1864 skirmish near Mirabel. Portraying James Battalion of the Missouri 6 Month Militia (cornstalk fight), & also the 33rd Enrolled Missouri Militia (Kingston Raid and Mirabel skirmish). 3 Companies & turnout of approximately 45 Rifles.

1863 Vicksburg Campaign 150th - (Oct. 2012) Battles of Port Gibson, Raymond, Champion Hill, and the Assault of Vicksburg. Portraying the Irish 7th Missouri Infantry, this included a proper Irish Green Regimental Flag. We also portrayed the 26th Missouri during the Champion Hill scenario. 2 companies and turnout of approximately 50 Rifles

1862 Battle of Prairie Grove Arkansas 150th Anniversary - (Dec 2012). Army of the Frontier event and Muddy River fielded 2 Battalions as a small brigade. U.S. Muddy River (1st) Battalion portrayed the 20th Wisconsin and U.S. Territorial (2nd) Battalion portrayed the 19th Iowa. / Muddy River (1st) Battalion fielded 3 companies & turnout of approximately 60 Rifles.


Campaign 2013

Hulston Mill MO (June 2013) – detachment of 2 Companies & turnout of approximately 40 Rifles ~ 1863

Battle of Gettysburg PA. 150th (June 2013) Muddy River was able to field 2 battalions as a small brigade. Various portrayals such as 7th Wisconsin of Iron Brigade, 83rd Pennsylvania for Little Round Top, 69th New York (Irish Brigade) for Wheatfield and 13th Vermont of Stannards Brigade for Pickets Charge. Muddy River served as 1st Battalion in Crofutt’s Brigade, fielding 4 companies & turnout of approximately 100 Rifles.

Lamoni Iowa (September 2013) detachment of 2 companies & approx. 35 Rifles under command of Battalion Major.

1863 Battle of Chickamauga GA. 150th (September 2013) Portray 124th Ohio Infantry Volunteers. This was a detachment of 2 companies & turnout of about 40 Rifles (under command of Battalion Major). Portray 124th Ohio Infantry Volunteers.

Brownville Nebraska Territory (October 2013) Battalion fielded 3 companies & turnout of approximately 45 Rifles

1863 Battle of Honey Springs 150th in the Oklahoma Indian Territory (November 2013). Portray the 1st Regiment Indian Home Guard.


Campaign 2014

1864 Battle of Pilot Knob MO.– 150 (September 2014) – Battalion fielded 6 Companies & turnout of approximately 120 Rifles. Portrayed the 47th Missouri Infantry Volunteers and we were able to represent all 6 of the companies of that regiment that were at the original battle.

1862 Battle of Prairie Grove Arkansas (Dec 2014) 1FD Effort in the West – Battalion fielded 3 companies & a turnout of approximately 50 Rifles. On Saturday we portrayed the 26th Indiana Infantry for Herrons Assault and went up the hill near the Borden house. On Sunday we portrayed the 13th Kansas Infantry as we recreated the never before done scenario of Blunts arrival and assault.


Campaign 2015

Hulston Mill (June 2015) – Basic generic Civil War encampment weekend with a late war 1865 year setting. Battalion fielded 4 Companies & turnout of approximately 65 Rifles. Portrayed ourselves as the U.S. Muddy River Battalion.

1862 battle of Pea Ridge Arkansas (September 2015) A 1st Federal Division “Effort in the West” – Battalion fielded 3 companies & a turnout of approximately 60 Rifles. On Saturday we portrayed Phelps Independent Regiment of Missouri Volunteers & on Sunday we portrayed the 22nd Indiana Infantry. This was the first time Muddy River has ever done a Pea Ridge event.
